Liechtenstein - introduction

The Principality of Liechtenstein, the fourth smallest country in Europe, landlocked between Austria and Switzerland is a slow paced relaxed country to visit. It is popular both for winter sports and for summer hiking, but its capital city and castles should not be overlooked as interesting places for tourists. It is also well known as a tax heaven for international business people, which has led to the county gaining much wealth on a local level. If you measure the country from north to south, it is only twenty four kilometres long, and is bordered on one side by a river with mountains on the other. The people of Liechtenstein speak the Alemannic German dialect, which is quite distinct from other forms of German and very beautiful to hear.
